Visiting Nurses Association
The Visiting Nurses Association (VNA) has been a pillar of the Rockford community for more than 100 years, striving to enhance the quality of residents’ lives in northern Illinois. This patient-centered home care organization provides comprehensive, professional and affordable services in the comfort of the patient’s own home.
Its four core program areas – Home Health Care, Home Medical Equipment, Hospice and Older Adult Services – are each comprised of specialized services and offer a diversity unique to VNA. Whether the service is nursing care; physical, occupational, or speech therapy; oxygen; or a hospital bed, VNA offers all the services needed to help patients remain at home – avoiding excessive hospital and nursing home stays.
VNA helps patients of all ages with many types of diagnoses, from the newborn coming home to the elderly making their end-of-life journey. Regardless of the care – short-term or long-term, curative or palliative – VNA works with the patient and caregiver to achieve realistic, attainable goals. VNA has established a reputation for skill, professionalism and caring that physicians, case managers, discharge planners and, most importantly, patients and families can depend on. Its patient-centered clinical care and personalized services give patients the peace of mind, satisfaction and dignity they deserve.
