Rock River Valley Blood Center

Rock River Valley Blood Center

The Rock River Valley Blood Center (RRVBC) was founded in 1952 by the Winnebago County Medical Society, with support from Rockford hospitals.

RRVBC serves as a centralized community blood center and is the only provider of blood products and services to Beloit Health System, Edgerton Hospital and Health Services, FHN, OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center, Rochelle Community Hospital, Rockford Health System, SwedishAmerican Health System and SwedishAmerican Medical Center-Belvidere.

RRVBC is a nationally recognized, regionally focused and locally governed blood center supporting the needs of our region’s hospitals. The driving force behind its successful history is the generosity of dedicated blood donors. In less than one hour – the time it takes to give blood – you can save up to three lives.

By donating blood to RRVBC, you can help to ensure that hospitals in the community have a safe and adequate blood supply at all times. Learn more about becoming a blood donor and joining the marrow donor registry by visiting
